Good news! Your group health plan with BCBSTX has been approved.
Your group health plan:
- The effective date of coverage is XX/XX/XX/
- Your account# is XXXXXX.
- The attached Welcome Letter provides information about the plans you’ve chosen and confirms the rates.
ID Cards:
- PPO plan ID cards will be mailed to your business address.
- HMO plan ID cards will be mailed to the employee’s home address.
Blue Access for Employers/BAE (employer portal):
- Gives you access to add/delete new hires and dependents, make payments, etc. If you decide to pay future monthly premium payments with recurring bank draft, you must log into BAE to set up your banking information. Your agent cannot do this for you.
- BCBSTX will send you an email with instructions for logging into the portal.
- A Quick Start Guide has been attached for your reference.
Eligible new hires (30+ hours per week is considered full time):
- Provide the employee packet within 10 days of the employee’s full-time date of hire.
- You can enroll employees using BAE or you can send us their enrollment form before they are to become effective.
- Coverage will be effective on the 1st /15th of the month following XX days of employment.
- There are specific requirements for both newly hired and terminated employees. SB51 information is attached so you are aware of the need for timely adds and deletes.
Agent Compensation Disclosure:
